Solvent borne adhesives are generally liquids based on a variety of different rubbers which through their individual characteristics bond a vast range of materials in most market areas. Our range of solvent borne products can be seen in use in the automotive, marine, engineering, assembly and a host of other manufacturing and
maintenance markets. In fact, wherever there is a need for high performance adhesives. Our range of solvent borne adhesives are segmented by rubber and/or chemical type so as to ease identification by our customers making our products easier to use.
POLYCHLOROPRENE (NEOPRENE)
Polychloroprene adhesives are ideally suited for bonding neoprene and most other rubbers to each other or themselves. Couple this with the high strength and excellent environmental resistance exhibited by the bonds and you have some of the reasons why neoprene adhesives are among the most widely used of and solvent borne adhesives.
S7005 is our high performance brushable neoprene contact adhesive used to create high strength bonds on most common substrates, such as plastics, polyurethane foam rubber, rubber, leather, timber and metal to a wide variety of substrates. S7005 has good chemical resistance to water, dilute acids and alkalis and has
a service temperature of up to 1000`C.
S7008 Easy Spread Contact Adhesive is our lower viscosity, higher flow formulation version of S7005. It can provide greater penetration into porous substrates resulting in better adhesion levels.
S7011 Thixotropic formula contact adhesive (non drip formula) is suitable for bonding most common substrates such as plastics, wood leather and metals, but especially for porous substrates such as cork, MDF etc. S7011 has a high temperature and chemical resistance coupled with high performance.
S7100 provides the highest level of bonds possible with a neoprene type contact adhesive. This two part adhesive comes supplied with curing agent and can be used for the most demanding applications such as inflatable boats and wet suit manufacture to name but two.
S7105 is only one of a range of sprayable neoprene adhesives. It gives an excellent spray pattern from most application guns and can be used to form bonds across most common substrates. For higher performance bonds or quicker flash off times please consult our Technical Department where you will be informed of all other option available. Most of our neoprene contact adhesives can be supplied either natural colour or tinted (usually red) and we also supply a full range of spray application equipment.
S7173 us our non flammable version of S7005 providing our customers with further options when necessary. It is suitable for bonding plastics, polyurethane foams, rubbers, leather, timber and metals. S7173 has the same chemical and temperature resistance as S7005.
NATURAL
S7200 NATURAL RUBBER ADHESIVE is suitable for bonding natural rubber and many porous materials such as fabrics.
S7241 NATURAL RUBBER SOLUTION is an easy to use formula ideal for low strength or temporary bonds across most fabrics and porous materials. It is available in both clear and tinted versions.
S7221 POLYSTYRENE ADHESIVE has been formulated specifically to bond polystyrene quickly and effectively without any risk of cell attack.
NITRILE
S7300 CLEAR ADHESIVE is a general purpose adhesive giving excellent bonds on leather, wood and plastics including both plasticised and unplasticised PVC. Adhesion levels and temperature can be improved by using Impactkure 1 as a curing agent. S7300s’ colourless appearance means that over applied adhesive
and visible bonds are not unsightly. Our S7380 is sprayable and S7350 is a non flammable, brushable alternative.

POLYURETHANE
S7400 HIGH PERFORMANCE POLYURETHANE ADHESIVE can be used as a single or two part adhesive (using Impactkure 1 as a curing agent) to create excellent bonds over a wide range of materials, particularly on leather, wood and plastics.
S7450 is a two part, very high performance adhesive providing excellent panel bonding capabilities and superior strength on many surfaces. It is supplied in pre-measured amounts to ensure accurate and easy mixing. S7450s’ paste like qualities allows it to be applied to vertical surfaces without risk of dripping or sagging.
S7460 is our lower viscosity, two part polyurethane adhesive providing high strength bonds that withstand very harsh environments.
STYRENE BUTADIENE RUBBER.
S7550 SPRAYABLE ADHESIVE is our standard sprayable grade. It can be used as a one or two way adhesive. It is available in a variety of colours and pack sizes making it an extremely versatile produce.
S7590 HIGH TACK ADHESIVE is our general purpose bonding product suitable for multi-application work and has little or no cell attack on expanded polystyrene. The viscosity of the product makes it easy to apply via brush roller or spatula.
S7599 PANEL ADHESIVE is formulated to bond a wide range of substrates including wood, breeze blocks, brick, plaster board and many plastics. S7599 has very high tack and adhesion levels making it suitable for applications such as fixing battens to walls and bonding skirting boards. This replaces the need for drilling, screwing and nailing. S7599 is a thixotropic paste packed into 380ml cartridges providing easy use.
S7562 is a sprayable, non flammable, fire retardant adhesive suitable for one or two way application. S7562 was developed to bond a wide range of foams and insulation materials as well as wood, plastic and metals.
S7578 is our high performance non flammable sprayable adhesive. It is designed to bond a wide variety of substrates including foam, wood, metal, non woven and insulation materials. S7578 is designed to bond as a one way stick and offers good chemical resistance.
AEROSOLS
Aerosols providing an easy means of applying adhesive in thin films that flashes off quickly to give almost instant bond across many industrial materials. Orbital Products aerosols are manufactured to the highest standards and are available in 500ml containers for maximum efficiency.
S7600 HEAVY DUTY AEROSOL ADHESIVE is designed for bonding most common substrates such as carpets, wood, metals, paper and board. S7600 is used straight from the aerosol with three different spray patterns offered via the adjustable nozzle. Other variations of our aerosol spray adhesive are S7601 (flammable version),
S7602 Polystyrene adhesive, suitable for use on most styrenes without cell attack. S7603 is a clear spray adhesive and S7604 a re-positionable spray adhesive suitable for picture mounting.
McPU’s
S7700 is a moisture curing, single part, polyurethane adhesive specifically designed for applications in the panel manufacturing and laminating industries. Here, the requirement is for adhesives to bond to many types of materials such as; plastic, foam and both rigid and flexible facing materials. Typical areas of use are the caravan industry, portable building manufacturing and repair, mobile homes, insulated building boards and structural sandwich panel forming. Some materials such as aluminium may require priming. Please read our Technical Information sheet or contact our technical Department.
S7710 sprayable, moisture curing polyurethane adhesive has been developed to bond plasticised PVC to foam. It offers high green strength and fast rates of cure. Higher and lower solids versions are available if required.
S7717 THIXOTROPIC CONSTRUCTION ADHESIVE offers excellent bonds across many substrates but is especially suitable for wood to wood joints, offering very high bond strength and superb water resistance. S7717 is supplied in ready to use 310ml cartridges.
S7740 CONSTRUCTION ADHESIVE was developed for bonding construction panels made from wood, metal, ABS and PVC in application areas such as cold stores and portable buildings. S7740 is also used by the woodworking industry because of its fast setting rate and excellent environmental resistance. S7740 is a 1000/0 solids, non solvented adhesive.
S7770 is our solvent free, brushable, moisture curing polyurethane adhesive suitable for bonding metals and plastics with concrete. S7770 has very good chemical and temperature resistance.
OTHERS
S7800 PVC WELD CEMENT bonds PVC pipes, conduits and ducting. It is a clear, low viscosity adhesive which has inherent flexibility when cured and will not cause the plastic to become brittle. Substrates must be close fitting and parallel. S7800s’ bond strength is often higher than the parent material.
S7805 ABS & PVC WELD CEMENT is a clear, thixotropic version of S7800. Typical uses are the fabrication of rigid PVC rain water and drainage systems and electrical conduit bonding. S7805 is slow curing and offers good temperature resistance.
S7810 CPVC WELD CEMENT is our clear thixotropic adhesive specially developed for bonding CPVC, rigid PVC and ABS. S7810 offers slower cure than S7800 allowing slight repositioning of substrates. It is suitable for use on hot water pipework.
