Anaerobic adhesives cure only in the absence of air and in the presence of metal. They cure to form a tough durable polymer which exhibits excellent chemical and environmental resistances. At Orbital Products we use only the finest resins and ingredients when formulating and manufacturing our anaerobic adhesives. This ensures the products exceed our rigorous quality checks before finally reaching you, our customer. Our products are used for thousands of different applications across the industrial market; including automotive, aerospace, marine, transport, general and precision engineering as well as manufacturing and assembly. We segment our anaerobic range into four distinct categories for ease of application and product identification. These categories are Threadlocking, Threadsealing, Retaining and Gasketing.
THREADLOCKING
Orbitals threadlocking adhesives (A1 series) are used to lock threaded components and prevent vibration loosening whilst sealing the threads against leakage and corrosion. Only a small amount of adhesive is required to replace many unsuitable and inadequate traditional methods of fastening. Our threadlocking adhesives both improve performance and productivity, therefore reducing costs.
A1101 SCREWLOCK low strength threadlocking adhesive is recommended for the locking and sealing of non ferrous and softer grades of metal fasteners. It replaces nylon patches, star and spring washers on threaded fasteners. Its low strength allows easy dismantling.
A1102 OIL TOLERANT NUTLOCK is a medium strength threadlocking adhesive recommended for use on lightly oiled and contaminated ferrous and non-ferrous metals. A1102 has increased handling strength over standard grades, especially on alloys and passivated metals. A1102 is medium strength and will allow for dismantling.
A1103 NUTLOCK is a medium strength threadlock effective on all industrial metals. Components bonded with A1103 Nutlock will lock, seal and resist vibration loosening. Its medium strength means that components locked with A1103 can still be dismantled by hand, using a normal spanner.
A1105 STUDLOCK IS used for high strength locking and sealing of studs, nuts and bolts. The adhesive is used on components that do not normally require dismantling.
A1107 PENETRATING is an extremely low viscosity high strength threadlocking adhesive used to wick into pre-assembled components. It can be used to seal porous dies and sand castings such as engine blocks.
THREADSEALING
The A2 Series of Threadsealers are used on all types of threaded seals axposed to various liquids and gases. A wide range of strengths and viscosities means no application is too demanding.
A2201 HYDRAULIC SEALANT is a medium viscosity, medium strength product used for sealing hydraulic and pneumatic connectors as well as small parallel and tapered threads. A2201 combines high pressure and good temperature resistance with a slightly thixotropic nature preventing migration into critical areas prior to curing.
A2203 PIPE SEAL for medium strength sealing of coarse threaded components and pipe fittings. It is more versatile than traditional tapes and hemp while still providing instant low pressure start up of sealed threads when tightened to speciftication.
A2205 PIPE SEAL (TEFLONTM ) is a universal pipe seal to cover all normal pipe sealant applications. In addition to this it contains TeflonTM to tighten and seal components more easily.
A2207 FLANGE SEAL has been specifically formulated to seal flangers such as pipe flanges, carburettor flanges and transmission assemlies.
RETAINING
Orbitals range of Retainers (A3 Series) are formulated to effectively bond and seal cylindrical components such as shafts, drives and bearings.
A3301 RETAINER is our standard high performance retainer for locking slip fitted and light press fitted parts such as bushes, splines and rotors.
A3303 HIGH STRENGTH RETAINER exhibits similar properties to our standard retainer with increased holding capabilities.
A3305 HIGH TEMPERATURE RETAINER will withstand temperatures not normally associated with standard retaining adhesives, providing an aven greater range of suitable applications.
A3307 BEARING FIT RETAINER is medium strength, designed specifically to lock and seal bearings, liners, keys and splines while at the same time increase the reliability of parts thus preventing fretting, corrosion and leakage.
A3309 RETAINER is a higher viscosity retaining adhesive to provide greater gap filling capability.
A3310 OIL TOLERANT RETAINER is a high strength retainer designed to perform well on lightly contaminated substrates where pre-cleaning is not always possible. 310 performs well on most metals and offers faster handling rates on alloys and passivated metals.
GASKETING
Our A4 Series of gasketing products enable customers to eliminate expensive pre-shaped gaskets and provide much greater flexibility in terms of suitable applications. Gasketing compounds may also be used to repair broken or worn parts,, reducing machine down time and once again improving productivity.
A4403 GASKET SEAL is our general purpose high performance gasketing compound capable of sealing small and large gaps on virtually any shape and size of component. Typical applications include transmission and engine flangers as well as smaller closer fitting parts. 403 ca ne screen printed to improve accuracy and productivity.
A4405 HIGH TEMPERATURE GASKET SEAL is recommended for sealing components operating continually up to 2000`C. its increased chemical and environmental resistances make it ideally suited for the most demanding of industrial applications.
