Epoxies, acrylics and polyurethanes are all under the umbrella of Orbital Products Structural Adhesives. The A2000 Series reflects some of the highest levels of performance adhesives available within the industrial market place. Structural adhesives can be either single or multi-component curing systems are available in a variety of pack sizes for easy application.
EPOXY ADHESIVE AND RESINS
Our range of epoxy adhesives and resins consist mainly of two component 1:1 ratio adhesive, formulated with a specific performance criteria in mind. Alongside these products are single component curing systems and non 1:1 ratio curing systems. Many products cannot be detailed in this brochure because of the enormity of the range. Our Technical Department will be happy to process any enquiries you may have for non standard items. 1:1 ratio epoxy adhesives are generally packed in 50ml, 200ml and 400ml twin syringes, along with various loose bulk sizes. A full range of application equipment for twin syringes and bulk packs is available.
A2000 GENERAL PURPOSE, standard curing epoxy adhesive, can be used for many industrial applications across most markets including, automotive, marine, construction and general manufacturing.
A2005 RAPID CURING EPOXY ADHESIVE cures in minutes to form high tensile, durable bonds with good environmental resistance. Its speed of cure ensures high levels of productivity, without inhibiting performance.
A2010 METAL REPAIR EPOXY ADHESIVE is used to bond and repair various ferrous and non-ferrous substrates.
A2040 HIGH PERFORMANCE EPOXY ADHESIVE has a fast set rate and cures to form a tough, transparent bond. It will bond most metals and duro-plastics and also has excellent adhesion to glass.
A2080 RUBBER TOUGHENED EPOXY ADHESIVE cures to form a tough durable bond exhibiting high impact resistance and peel strength. It will bond a wide variety of substrates including steel, stainless steel, Zintec and some rigid plastics. A2080 offers dual curing actions. Firstly, as a standard epoxy over 24 hours at room temperature and secondly as a heat curing system at 100oC for 15 to 20 minutes.
A2090 SINGLE PART RUBBER TOUGHENED EPOXY ADHESIVE is designed for use in harsh and hostile environments. It has an inbuilt rubber toughening component to enhance peel strength and impact resistance. A2090 has excellent resistance to oil, alcohol and water and will bond most metals and plastics. A2090 is heat cured, offering cure cycles of 30 minutes to 3 hours (see technical Sheet A2090).
ACRYLIC ADHESIVES
Orbital Products Acrylics offer our customers increased bond strength and performance across most substrates. Acrylic adhesives provide extremely high tensile shear and peel strengths. They also have excellent temperature and environmental resistance. Linking these factors with a multitude of different cure speeds and pack sizes, the Orbital Products range of acrylics represent state of the art technology with no compromise on quality and performance.
A2400 is our standard, fast curing low viscosity acrylic which cures rapidly (3 to 4 minutes), to form high strength, temperature resistant bonds. A2420 is a non slump version and can be applied to vertical surfaces without risk of sagging. A2420 also has gap filling capabilities.
A2410 is our slower curing version of A2400 allowing extended positioning time (6 to 9 minutes). It has all the same performance characteristics as A2410 in terms of bond strength and temperature resistance. A2430 is our non slump slow curing product which completes this highly versatile set of products.
A2526 STRUCTURAL ACRYLIC ADHESIVE can be cured either with or without an activator. Therefore, cure speeds vary but the performance of the product does not. A2526 can be used to bond many different materials and is available in various pack sizes to suit you, our customer.
A2545 HIGH PERFORMANCE TOUGHENED ACRYLIC ADHESIVE is the flagship of our acrylic range. It bonds most materials quickly to form extremely high strength, resilient bonds. A2545 is available in many pack sizes providing both small and large users access to this superb product.
TWO COMPONENT POLYURETHANE ADHESIVES
Two component polyurethane adhesives provide an alternative to traditional epoxy and acrylic systems. The polyurethane technology encased in some of our adhesives is unique, providing bonding and filling capabilities that are otherwise unavailable. Impact polyurethane adhesives are available in 1:1 ratio pre mix systems, although other ratio and curing systems are available even if they are not mentioned.
A2800 is our high strength adhesive which is resistant to elevated temperatures, fuel, most solvents and chemicals. A2800 is suitable for repairing rigid and fibre filled plastics within the automotive industry. I can be sanded within ten minutes and painted in one hour. A2800 is recommended for smaller repairs.
PA2805 high performance adhesive is typically used for the repair of flexible and semi flexible plastics. It is suitable for small repairs and ideal for the repair of bumpers parts and other flexible repairs. A2805 has excellent heat and chemical resistance and provides high product yields with fast turnaround for early sanding and painting.
A2810 is suitable for bonding and repairing ferrous and non ferrous metals and alloys. It has excellent chemical resistance, moisture resistance and good temperature resistance. Bonds can be sanded in around thirty minutes at room temperature and painted within an hour of the bond being made.
A2815 is our high strength curing product capable of bonding plastics, painted steel, glass, stone and wood. It is designed for bonding small areas and can be sanded in thirty minutes and painted within one hour.
A2820 is a high performance adhesive giving high strength combined with excellent chemical and environmental resistance. A2820 is our universal grade suitable for larger repairs. It has a slower rate of cure and is suitable for use on most structural plastics (automotive and marine) and coated metals. A2900 and A2902 are two unique polyurethane adhesives which cure in seconds to form tough, durable bonds. They bond to metals and other materials quickly and effectively making them suitable for high speed production environments.
